  • La storia della Manuel Selene

    Hello

I am looking for pictures of ford tractors with Selene 4wd conversions,

do selene still have a website, or somewhere with history of the company?

    greetings from New Zealand

      Hy Pudding,
unfortunately the Selene factory closed many years later and there aren't web infos or sites about it! In Italy many tractors were modified with the Selene system! I remember FIAT-OM models, expecially OM 35/40r, 45r, 512r, 50r. However I don't remeber other tractor company modified with this system...we have to ask to other members of the forum!
If you can wait, this afternoon I'll send you some photos of this tractors.

greetings everyone, thankyou for the pictures, selene was very common in the 70's and early 80's, Roadless and County used Selene for parts to build 4wd tractors. I seems strange that Selene does not have history on a website

this is pictures of a selene MF175, i am told they made these with ford tractors too, would be great to see one of these, i have a friend wanting to make a toy tractor version,

              more

i found this on the net

the bottom article is interesting, i translated the text and got this

              Beloved Giovanni,
He compliments for your job on Nuffield 3/55.
I have a friend who collects material of the Selene. To ask? he and to far?apere to you.
As far as the 4RM, Nuffield it has commercialized in Italy to leave from 1959 two models: 3DL4RM and DM4DE4RM. In the park tractors of 1965 I find 4 exemplary of first and the 22 of the second. I have a depliant of the DM4/50 without some signal to the Selene, whose pneumati there are 10,00-24 and the 11-36 back.
Still in the park tractors of 1983 I find 3 models DT beyond to those gi?oti: 350DT - 460 super DT and 470 super DT, respective with 6, 8 and 14 exemplary. Exists a model 3/55 but? 2 drive wheels. Probable E' that the Selene made the transformation after the registration the Uma, demanding later on a simple modernization that did not come statistically found. E' an opinion and I do not know how much is worth.
Me spiace not to be able to say of pi?ma step this letter to you to the readers of my page: perhaps someone knows some of devout? pu?iutarci.
              Hello, William

from this i read that there were not many nuffield 4rm machines built by selene. Is this correct? Its very interesting

                Nuffield 4 rm

                    HERE
you can see a Power Mayor with a 4wd conversion, but I don't know if it is a Selene.

                    THIS
is another major 4wd, i think that is a Selene conversion.

Hai ragione.
